To support the explicit verticality of both the building’s facade and the stairwell artwork installation, which is the building’s centerpiece, a classic and elegant typefont with a vertical character was chosen: “Walbaum”.
On the interior, signage accompanies the viewer around the corners. Using white for the signage lettering adds a delicate highlight to the interior color scheme of soft dove greys and deep cherrywood browns; the white is subtly integrated on the grey walls by the slight shadow of the 3-D letterform. In the basement the colors are reversed. On the exterior, polished chrome steel lettering formally presents the building name.
